Aura on Flinders Serviced Apartments

I loved the location. Spent a bit of time sitting on the balcony with a cup of tea while I watched the comings and goings on the Yarra River. Perfect view. The kitchen was lovely, had everything we needed and the front desk staff and the cleaning staff were wonderful. Close to Southern Cross Station, Casino, DFO South Wharf and CBD.

Great location, within walking distance of the city centre and the Trams were very regular. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great to be able to leave our luggage before and after checkout so we didn't have to take it everywhere. The apartment was a good size and set out well, even for 3 people, single beds were appreciated.

I booked the river view room and got a room located on the 26th Floor. Even though I paid for a river view I did not expect for it to be so good! With views of the eastern direction of the river, PTV lines as well as the Crown gas brigades every day and night was pleasant. The room layout was efficient with a spacious bedroom and closet and cosy living space and kitchen with said Yarra view. The room also came with extra goodies (chocolates and tiny teddies!) and a glass water jug which was a nice addition in getting your hydration in compared to other hotels !

For an overnight stop between flights - the best value for money. It's the best for the quick stay or for those who appreciate comfortable rest and a day out in a city exploring. Great location. Free city train nearby. You can (partially, but still it's great!) see Star Casino fire from the window, or it's just 8min easy walk across the bridge. Easy walk of 2-3 stops by tram to the Melbourne lanes for a col cofee stops. We took a bus from the airport and walked with the kids to the hotel - easy 10-15 walk and junior schoolers easily made it with their bags packed for 4 days. To get to the port was either a paid train line that is 50m from the hotel (but we could not bother buying/registering Myki tickets) or $23 taxi ride. Next door sushi place is supreme! The best Japanese food I had ever outside of Japan (I got an impression it's related business to the hotel. But separate entry) We were the last and the only customers at 9 pm midweek, tired and a bit grumpy after an old day. Despite this we were quickly served the most amazing food, and treated with smiles and care. A place like this in Sydney would have been booked for month in advance and cost at least 3-4 times more. Here we just walked in. We had a late checkout. But many people had luggage on GF. The reception girl helped us to book taxi.

Apartments were great. We booked x2 two bedroom two bathroom apartments next to each other. Enough room for two couples per apartment. Beautiful view if you're lucky enough to be on the MCG side.
